RMI and George Miller
George was born in 1945, and received Jesus as his personal saviour in his sister's attic in Leeds after a night out with his mates in 1964. He felt his life was empty, and his conversion was dramatic; old habits and haunts were replaced with a thirst for Jesus.
In 1970 George was ordained a minister and married Hazel. In 1974 they went as missionaries to Guyana, and when back in England in 1979, George was given two separate messages from visiting speakers about being anointed for evangelism. With only £2 in their pockets, they launched Impact Missions.
Impact Missions changed to Reconciliation Ministries International in 1996 when it was clear that the work was now multi-cultural and international. In recent years, the ministry has concentrated in the UK and Caribbean.
At present George and his brother Al are involved in a Jamaican government initiative called "Fresh Start", a vision is for national transformation. The Prime Minister and Cabinet are backing prayer and evangelism to help bring this about.
In the UK while watching news George saw a feature on the government's concerns regarding binge drinking and anti social behaviour. They have designated 40 "Respect Areas", towns in England where there is an unacceptable level of drink, drugs and anti social behaviour. God challenged George's heart. Now George and his Association of Evangelists have taken up this challenge to see these town and cities transformed by the power of God and the gospel.
