| The children and young people in the fellowship enjoy a variety of different activities |
|
|
All the children take part in the first part of the church service, then go to their
own groups during the talk. The children contribute by sharing, playing the drums,
operating the overhead, dancing with flags and (most importantly to some members
) helping make tea and coffee.
|
| As they feel ready, they are welcome to come to the midweek meetings. |
| As well as being at most of the social events the fellowship has, they also have their
own outings to MacDonalds, Laser Ace, Ten Pin Bowling, the Cinema etc.
|
| Every two months we have a family prayer night, where we gather together as a church and pray
around themes which God has laid on our hearts. We use creative prayer, art, music and poetry
on these nights and are inspired by the 24/7 prayer movement. Have a look at the
Family prayer page for more about this.
|
| The teenagers also take part in 'Random Acts of Saintliness', where we encourage them to think about others and put their faith into action, by performing tasks which will benefit other people. See the Acts page for more about this.
|
| As a whole church we support the Stephen Centre in Nigeria, a school for children who have
lost one or more parents in the fighting between Muslims and Christians. We have a collection
during the service and from time to time, send letters and small gifts. We often include them in
our prayers. To see more information about this,
look at our Stephen Centre page.
|
| We also support a boy called Manu who lives in an Orphanage in India. We do this through Harvest Ministries. |
