| Why we are called Branches ...... |
| We chose the name Branches from the Bible verse: |
| Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches.
If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing."
John 15:5(NIV)
|
| Our vision ...... |
| "Go and make disciples of all nations,
baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20(NIV)
|
| Our vision is to carry this out, focusing on our local community, whilst
working alongside other churches in this country and abroad. In simple terms we want to:
|
 |
Welcome people and invite them to have a relationship with God |
 |
Encourage, equip and help one another to grow as disciples of Jesus |
 |
Care for, love and serve others in the power of the Holy Spirit |
|
| Other words we believe God has given us...... |
| You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people
belonging to God; that you may declare the praises of Him, who called you out of darkness
into His wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

On each side of the river stood the tree of life
bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the
tree are for the healing of the nations. Rev 22:2
|
Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains
wide, do not hold back, lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. Isaiah 54:2

The Spirit of the Lord is
on me, because He has
anointed me to preach
good news to the poor. He
has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and
recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the
year of the Lord's favour. Luke 4:18-19
